A new way to connect

Tap to connect. Safer public Wi‑Fi for people, effortless control for venues.

Tagnect turns any venue's Wi‑Fi into a one‑tap, password‑free experience — more private and secure for guests, and radically simpler to run for owners.

What it is

A control‑plane platform for Wi‑Fi access

Tagnect is a control‑plane platform for temporary, policy‑driven Wi‑Fi access. Passive NFC tags — NTags — onboard people in a single tap, while Tagnect orchestrates the network controller you already run (or a low‑cost Tagnect Ready appliance) to issue self‑rotating credentials and apply per‑group access rules. It decides who gets on and under what policy — it never carries your internet traffic.

👤

For people on public networks

More security and privacy, with extreme ease: no forms, no passwords on paper, no fake login pages. Just tap and browse.

🏪

For venue owners

High control and near‑zero effort: dynamic access, per‑group rules and live oversight — on top of the network hardware you already own.

Zero friction

Three steps, no typing

1

Tap the tag

Hold your phone near the Tagnect NFC tag on the table, counter or keycard.

2

Get validated

The app connects and the server confirms your access — silently, in the background.

3

Browse securely

You're online in seconds — nothing to remember, nothing to type into a web page.

The Tagnect edge

A passive tag that costs cents changes the economics

Tagnect runs on passive NFC tags — no battery, no cables, durable and extremely cheap. Stick them on tables, counters, envelopes or hand them out as keychains. That near‑zero cost unlocks business models other technologies can't reach.

  • No password to typeNo captive portal to phish, no forms to fill.
  • Self‑rotating credentialsThe Wi‑Fi password changes by time block; a copied credential stops working for new associations once its block and grace period end.
  • Controlled credential exposureRotating credentials sharply limit how long a copied password remains useful. On supported managed controllers, devices can also remain restricted until server validation promotes their access profile.
  • No hardware lock‑inOrchestrates the controller you already use (UniFi, Omada, Meraki, and more) — or runs on a low‑cost Tagnect Ready appliance.
